If you have a 4-digit Google Account PIN, and you are entering it the first time you open and log in to the Google Admin app. If you don’t have a Google Account PIN, you’re prompted to create one at that time. And this is not mandatory, you can use it as optional.
If you need to manage your Google Account PIN, you can manage it in the Admin app by doing any of the following actions:
About your Google Account PIN
Using a PIN helps to secure your G Suite account and ensures that any changes are only made by authorized administrators within the organization.
The Google Account PIN works on any device. If someone used your device while you’re signed in, they can’t use the Google Admin app or access any of your G Suite administrative information unless they know the Google Account PIN.
The PIN applies to other Google services also, such as approving Google Play purchases.
The PIN is not:
- The Google account password you use to log in to your G Suite account.
The PIN or password you use to unlock your mobile device. To make it easy to remember, you might want to use the same PIN for your mobile device and log in to your Google Account.
How to Create or change your PIN
- Open the Google Admin app (click on gear icon). Set up now
If necessary, switch to your Google administrator account: Click Menu (three horizontal line)>down Arrow (icon) to choose another Google account.
- Click Menu (three horizontal line)>Settings.
- Select an option:
- To create a new Google Account PIN, tap Set PIN.
- To update your Google Account PIN, tap Change PIN.
If you are creating or changing your PIN here, it applies to all Google services that use the PIN.
