This feature is currently available for iOS and Android platform and saves your much time by suggesting three quick responses to emails you receive. Once you’ve selected one, you can immediately send it or edit your response beginning with the Smart Reply text. Smart Reply works on machine learning concept to give you better responses.   1. Mute a Group Email Notification

If you’re part of an email conversation that’s no longer relates to you, then you can simply “mute” the email. Muting keeps future responses to that particular thread out of your inbox so you can focus on your important messages only. If you decide you want to reference that email again, you can type command in the search box “is: muted” and all muted conversations will appear on your screen. In case you want to receive those group emails again then you can unmute conversations by opening the email, clicking “More” in the upper right corner and selecting “Unmute.”

While it is mandatory to always sign out of your Gmail account when accessing it on a public computer, if you ever forget, Gmail has got you secured. You can click “sign out all other sessions” to sign out anywhere you are logged into your account. To use this function, login to your Gmail account, scroll to “Last Account Activity,” at the bottom and then click the “Details” button. Finally, click the “sign out all other web sessions” button to quickly log out of all those active Gmail sessions from other computers.

These are experimental, pre-release services that users can activate to add key business functionality to their Inboxes. To enable various Labs in Gmail, click the gear icon at the top right of your primary Gmail inbox and click on “Settings” option. Then, click on the “Labs” tab and enable whichever suits your requirement. For instance, you can look for “multiple inboxes” and after that enable it and save changes, enabling you to make labels for each email type you need to list into a different inbox. These can be categorized based on the topic, urgency in responding or who sends the email.

This feature is automatically active in Gmail, so when you are searching for specific content then everything anyhow related to it shows up right there in your inbox, whether it’s in Gmail, Google Calendar, Groups or Drive (docs, sheets, slides). The search algorithm is more intelligent and faster, showcasing results in the top portion that are the same type as the application you’re using, and below, you’ll see related documents, contacts, calendar events or emails that are relevant to what you have been searching for.

You can recall a committed email. This option delays the email being sent by 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds, hence giving you time to “undo” sending the email within the grace period your set-up. This feature is available in your Settings (the gear icon) on the General page.

  1. Add a Meeting Directly to Calendar from Email

Gmail users can do this by simply clicking on dates and times underlined in gray in Gmail and click on it where it says “add to calendar.” In case Google doesn’t recognize a date or time, just click “More” at the top of the email, then “Create event,” a new window pops up in Google Calendar with the original email and event description and everyone on the original email is automatically added to the event. Finally, update the event date and time.
